This was by far one of our favorite family vacations ever!Mountain view with a relaxing porch. Would recommend this over the main lodge as slightly removed so a bit more privacy, yet just a few minute walk to get to all the action/activities. They are, understandably given the circumstances, only allowing guests to use their pool. It features the beauty of untouched nature, sublime mountain ranges, fantastic rivers and valleys, and majestic wildlife. And a shout out to Hayden -- he was a fantastic guide!!! The food was actually bad and couldn't eat / had to send food back. COVID update: Devil's Thumb Ranch has updated their hours and services. Traveling from South Florida, it was such a joy to see this beautiful property again.

Rocky Mountain National Park is undeniably one of, if not the biggest, attractions for Colorado visitors- and for a good reason. It's worth it to step up to the High Lonesome Lodge rooms for a nice balcony and fireplace. Whatever brings you to Devil’s Thumb Ranch is also certain to bring your group closer together. So much so that we rented a VRBO for a month in Fraser down the road next summer. It's not sustainable and the ranch will continue to have poor retention. Simply unplug from everyday life and lounge by the year-round heated pool and hot tub, destress with stand up paddleboard yoga, or curl up by the fire, roast a marshmallow, and reconnect with the people who matter most. Further, the massage table was broken so the therapist had to keep adjusting it throughout the massage - that harshed my mellow.
