The East Grampians Health Service has announced Andrew Freeman as interim chief executive officer following the resignation of Nick Bush, who is taking up a position as CEO of Echuca Regional Health.The announcement was on Friday with Mr Freeman to hold the position for six months while the recruitment process plays out for the permanent replacement for the position.Mr Freeman currently works as Director of Strategic Projects with Western Health and has extensive experience as a CEO of rural and regional health services.EGHS Board president Matthew Wood said the Board was delighted to appoint Mr Freeman as interim CEO.“Andrew is a highly regarded CEO and brings to East Grampians Health Service a wealth of knowledge, experience and leadership skills,” Mr Wood said.“We look forward to welcoming him to the health service and him assisting the board through the recruitment of a new CEO.”Mr Freeman said he was pleased to be appointed to East Grampians Health Service and looked forward to maintaining the momentum the board developed in being a leading rural health service.Nick Bush will continue in the top role until June 28 when his resignation takes effect, bringing to an end an eight-year involvement with the health service.Get our Editor's Weekly Wrap featuring the best local news and stories, as well as our Breaking News Alerts.The East Grampians Health Service has announced Andrew Freeman as interim chief executive officer following the resignation of Nick Bush, who is taking up a position as CEO of Echuca Regional Health.
