Now the author just has to write every side character's story!I liked how this book was written in journal form but some parts really bugged me.Runaway was a very inspiring book to me because it showed me that anything is possible and if you try you have a chance of making something happen. As we read Holly’s entries we learn about her struggles, her past, and her day to day life. Three of the stories ("Chance", "Soon", and "Silence") are about a single character named "Juliet Henderson". She doesn’t have a specific destination, just southwest.
Runaway is about a young adolescent named Holly, Holly deals with negativity on a daily basis having to deal with a sexually abusive foster dad and a jealous in denial foster mom she decides to run away after several attempts she finally escapes.
It's about an adopted teenager that's being mistreated and abused at her foster home and she decided to run away bringing a journal her teacher gave her to. the main character is a bitter teenager but theres a reason for that she has been in and out of abusive homes shes practicly bThe main reason why i chose this book is becuase it is in a journaling formal i feel reading book in this kind of format are really really intresting.
The author does this well by using 1st person narrative. I liked this book because it made me realizHolly has been in 6 foster homes in 2 years. She writes for teens and all of it's squeaky clean. In my opinion this book was very emotional because Holly listed her my and she was sad and depressed that she run away.

This book reminds me of myself because I've been through the things Holly went through when the owner that she had to live with did things to her.

Was it OK for her to shoplift necessities for survival? But soon problems start to appear like hunger, thirst, shelter, loneliness, education etc. This book was also really entertaining and is a great example of determination. She travels across the country, stowing away in bus cargo holds and trains, sleeping in parks, libraries and shelters, hoping toTwelve year-old's Holly's life is horrific, to say the least.
